Northwest Portland is unique because it is home to an eclectic array of industrial and commercial businesses, shopping and dining establishments, and beautiful, quaint old homes. It has the feel of a neighborhood with the advantages of an urban area.

Northwest is dotted with breweries and brew pubs, including McMenamins, the Portland BrewPub, and the BridgePort Brewpub. In Upper Northwest, 21st and 23rd Avenues feature rows of clothing, home decor, gift, and import stores, nestled among restaurants and coffee shops. Cinema21 shows art and foreign films, while the Mission Theater serves food and beer while you watch the most affordable movies in town.

Further into Northwest Portland, on the hill, sits Pittock Mansion. This Portland landmark is open to the public and has breathtaking vistas of the Portland skyline. Pittock Mansion is adjacent to Forest Park, the largest city park in the nation.
